About the Customer
The customer is a global recruiting firm that partners with startups and growing companies to hire across technology, customer-facing, and business roles. They support multiple clients in parallel, often managing hiring pipelines for very different role types at the same time.
The firm hires across a wide variety of roles, ranging from technical and analytical positions to communication-heavy roles such as customer support and sales. Candidates are distributed across multiple geographies, requiring screening processes that work reliably across time zones.
As hiring volumes increased, maintaining speed, consistency, and screening quality without increasing recruiter workload became a critical priority.
The Challenge
We could source candidates easily, but screening became the bottleneck. Every recruiter evaluated differently, and coordinating interviews globally was exhausting.
As the firm’s hiring activity grew, pressure began to build at the screening interview stage.
While sourcing was not the primary issue, progress slowed once candidates entered screening. Recruiters were required to conduct large numbers of early-stage interviews, often covering similar ground repeatedly for different roles and clients.
The most consistent bottlenecks were recruiter effort and coordination. Running live screening interviews across different time zones required significant scheduling overhead and frequently delayed candidate progression.
There was also growing inconsistency in screening quality. Different recruiters assessed communication skills, role understanding, and language proficiency in different ways, making it difficult to compare candidates objectively or present standardized feedback to clients.
n summary, the firm faced the following challenges:
- 1High recruiter workload due to manual screening interviews
- 2Difficulty screening effectively across a wide range of role types
- 3Time-zone differences slowing down live interview coordination
- 4Inconsistent screening approaches and subjective feedback
- 5Limited structure in how candidates were organized across clients and roles
- 6Manual and inconsistent assessment of language proficiency, including grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, and coherence
The firm needed a screening process that could scale across roles and regions while producing clear, comparable signals for both recruiters and clients.
The Solution
To address these challenges, the recruiting firm introduced InterWiz as a replacement for manual screening interviews.
InterWiz was used specifically at the screening stage, allowing recruiters to standardize interviews across different roles and clients without increasing operational overhead.
With InterWiz, the firm automated early-stage screening while keeping recruiters and clients in control of final decisions. The platform introduced structure and consistency through:
- Automated, role-specific screening interviews delivered in a human-like format
- Asynchronous interviews, enabling candidates to complete screenings across time zones
- Built-in language proficiency assessment covering grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, and coherence
- Standardized evaluation reports highlighting communication quality, role understanding, and overall fit
- Centralized organization of candidates by client, role, and hiring workflow
- Interview recordings available for internal review and client transparency

This approach reduced the need for live screening calls while ensuring that every candidate was evaluated against the same criteria.
The Result
By replacing manual screening interviews with structured, AI-powered assessments, the recruiting firm reduced recruiter workload at the screening stage by 70%.

Additional outcomes included:
- Ability to run hundreds of screening interviews effortlessly without adding recruiter capacity
- Consistent screening quality across a wide variety of role types
- Faster screening cycles without being constrained by time-zone differences
- Improved organization of candidates across multiple clients and open roles
- Clear, structured evaluation reports that could be shared directly with clients
Clients responded positively to the InterWiz evaluation reports. The structured insights, consistent scoring, and interview recordings increased confidence in screening decisions and strengthened client trust in the firm’s hiring process.
InterWiz removed the screening bottleneck for us. We can now evaluate candidates across roles and time zones without scheduling calls, and our recruiters spend their time making decisions instead of coordinating interviews.
Future Plans
Building on these results, the recruiting firm plans to explore InterWiz’s resume screening capabilities across all roles.
By standardizing resume evaluation alongside interviews, the team aims to further reduce manual effort, improve consistency across diverse role types, and ensure stronger candidates enter the screening stage, while continuing to scale hiring efficiently across clients and geographies.
